Here’s a couple of future events outside of the upcoming week’s schedule that folks may find interesting:

Backyard Ultra

For all the endurance junkies in the crowd, here’s a wild one for you. Golden Mountain Runner’s Charity Backyard run is coming up on May 3. The format is simple, yet makes me want to vomit 🤢 just thinking about it. 50 runners start, everyone runs one lap (4.17 miles) at the top of every hour, until only one runner remains. The event organizers say this is a “fun event with friends”, so if this fits your definition of fun (to each their own), give it a go!

Registration ends May 1, and is limited to the first 50 people. Sign up now to save a spot. 100% of registration fees will be donated to Sun Valley Kitchen and Community Center 👏 

Escape the home office

Next Tuesday, April 15th, Office Evolution is offering a free day of co-working at their Golden location. Here’s a great opportunity to give co-working a try, and maybe finish up those last minute tax day tasks. There’s always a couple procrastinators that CPAs curse under their breath…

GOLDEN MURAL

Just a cool old timey mural seen along south Golden Road. Feels like the building should be a prohibition style speakeasy with an exterior like that. One of the characters may be Marilyn Monroe (not 100%, which speaks to my age), but if anyone knows the other two, let me know.

Parent Run Club is a group of sleep deprived moms and dads who met regularly to run, walk, and hike the trails around Golden. While we run, our kids play together thanks to our amazing, experienced babysitters. Join Thursday for a ~4 mile run starting at Alyth Active in Downtown Golden.
