Happy 4th of July week, everyone. We’re keeping this edition short, sweet, and straight to the point. Not because everyone is so busy at work (we all know hardly anyone works this week), but because schedules are hectic, bags are packed, and folks are traveling all over. There are pools to be swam in, campfires to be stoked, and fish to be caught. I’m headed to the airport this morning with an 11 month old (send prayers), so thus why this edition is delivered a little earlier than usual. But look at it this way, now you have an extra 3 hours to make all your grand plans, and have a banger upcoming week. Queue up the Kid Rock, maybe a little Toby Keith, and enjoy. INDEPENDENCE DAY

As Fourth of July approaches, we have a couple places to don your best red white and blue attire, and celebrate our great nation. There are some fireworks, some drone shows, and lots of places to get out with the family for some good ol’ fashioned American fun. We’ve rounded up some of the festivals and shows around the Foothills, and shared them below. Hope you all enjoy the festivities, and stay safe.

🟡 CLEAR CREEK TUBING 🟡

Flows are dropping and Clear Creek is starting to open up for tubing season. The city of Golden currently has it under a Yellow Flag Warning, meaning flows remain moderate to high and extra caution is needed. Due to current conditions, river activities are considered unsafe for anyone under 18. If you do head out, we strongly recommend wearing a life jacket and if maybe you aren’t the best swimmer, give it a couple weeks. Soon, the river will mellow out for those calm floats we all love.
