GOLDEN HELL WEEK

If you’ve been looking for a way to test your legs — and maybe your lungs — Golden Hell Week has the answer. The premise is simple: five days, five iconic Golden trails. No official starting gun, no pacers, no aid stations. Just you, your watch, and a willingness to suffer a little.

Run each route sometime between September 22–26, record it on your GPS of choice, and upload the results to Strava. At the end of the week, the times are tallied and bragging rights are handed out. It’s free to enter, and while the fastest runners will be duking it out for the crown, plenty of folks just do it for the challenge, the community, and maybe a celebratory IPA when it’s over.

And yes — if you’re reading this now, you’re technically already a day behind. But that’s the spirit of Hell Week: catch up, grind it out, and see what you’re made of. Don’t let a little mud and rain deter you.

ARCHITECTURAL BEAUTY

Here’s a neat house in Evergreen off Upper Bear Creek. I’m really digging the architecture on this one – including this stately (feels like the proper word) library they’ve created.

In a world of minimalist and clean interior designs – looking at you white cabinets and gray counter tops – it’s refreshing to see some warm designs. The wood panelling is awesome, living rooms look inviting, and I just love that beam work.
