'Tis the Season

This Week in the Foothills

CHRISTMAS SEASON

The turkey’s barely been shoved into the leftovers container, and yet, Mariah Carey is already drifting through the air like clockwork . Ready or not, the holiday season has officially arrived. Luckily, now is the proper time to break out the lights and decorations (as all reasonable people agree, never before Thanksgiving).

There’s a ton of holiday cheer popping up around the Foothills this week—markets, holiday walks, Winterfests, and more. Check out the weekly roundup below, and here are a few ongoing festivities around town to help you slide fully into the season:

Foothills Art Center Holiday Art Market
Foothills Art Center’s 50th Annual Holiday Art Market is now open through December 29th, featuring handmade work from more than 80 Colorado artists—from ceramics and jewelry to woodworking and festive creations. It’s free to attend, full of holiday activities, and the perfect place to find one-of-a-kind gifts while supporting local makers

Miracle at the Eddy: Christmas Cocktail Pop Up Bar
Miracle is a Christmas-themed pop-up cocktail bar taking over The Eddy’s Taproom, decked out with over-the-top holiday décor and a menu of festive, specialty cocktails. Running Nov 25–Dec 28, it delivers all the nostalgic, high-energy fun of a classic holiday party—enough to get even the grinchiest visitor in the spirit.

Stocking Stuffers Holiday Comedy
From the creators of The Great American Trailer Park Musical comes a brand-new, adults-only holiday comedy—an irreverent, heart-filled musical that’s the perfect antidote to overly sweet seasonal fare. Running through Dec 28th, it’s packed with big laughs, sharp humor, and songs you’ll be humming long after the curtain falls.

THANKSGIVING DISH

Appreciate everyone who jumped into last week’s Thanksgiving poll. The final tally reads like a love letter to the classics: stuffing came out on top, with turkey just behind and mashed potatoes rounding out the top three.
Meanwhile, green bean casserole earned exactly one vote… so either someone out there is fiercely loyal, or they clicked the wrong button.

Hope everyone had enough Thanksgiving food to last them until next year.
