OPPORTUNITY

The Colorado Open Lands Conservation Leadership Series is a nine-month immersive program that brings together early- to mid-career professionals from diverse fields to deepen their understanding of land and water conservation in Colorado through briefings, field experiences, and networking opportunities.

Participants explore real conservation projects, engage with landowners and experts, and build a strong conservation ethic they can carry into their personal and professional lives. The program cultivates emerging conservation champions and infuses fresh perspectives into Colorado Open Lands’ work protecting wild and working landscapes across the state. Applications for the 2026 cohort open January 28, with a limited cohort of about 20 selected each year.

The 2026 Colorado Cowboy Gathering is a two-day celebration of Western music, cowboy poetry, and storytelling taking place January 30–31, 2026 at the Buffalo Rose Event Center in Golden, featuring a lineup of traditional cowboy singers, poets, and performers that bring the spirit and heritage of the old West to life.
